EmpowerED Program
The EmpowerED Program (EEP) has been designed to create educational opportunities that equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and support needed for success in the 21st-century workforce.
The Issue
Nigeria faces a significant challenge with out-of-school children. As of 2024, over 18.5 million children are not attending school, according to UNICEF. This figure represents a sharp increase from previous years, with an estimated 10.5 million out-of-school children in 2021 (Punch Newspapers) (ASCO Society). The situation is particularly severe in marginalized communities, where educational infrastructure and opportunities are severely lacking.
Access to quality education is critical for both personal and economic development. However, underserved communities in Nigeria often face substantial barriers, including:
- Limited resources
- Inadequate infrastructure
- Systemic discrimination
These challenges prevent many individuals from fulfilling their potential, perpetuating cycles of poverty and inequality.
Undeserved communities in Nigeria struggle to overcome significant barriers to accessing quality education, which trap them in cycles of poverty and inequality.
Our Solution
The EEP equips individuals with the skills, knowledge, and support needed for success in the 21st-century workforce. This strategic initiative will significantly enhance educational opportunities for marginalized communities. By providing comprehensive support and resources, the program will:
- Empower individuals
- Foster economic independence
- Promote social mobility
- Bridge the educational gap
The EmpowerED Program has the potential to create a ripple effect, transforming the lives of individuals, families, and communities across Nigeria.
